A Spring Oasis in Denver: Welcoming Back the Blue Moon Valencia Grove Amber Ale

Spring has already sprung in Denver this year. As someone residing in Chicago and getting used to this “polar vortex,” it couldn’t have come at a better time for me. ‘Spring Oasis at the Sandlot’ was happening and I was so excited to help bring it to life for more than 400 guests who attended.

Setting up the Spring Oasis

On January 17, the stars (or should I say moons?) aligned for one night, as The Sandlot was transformed to support the launch of the Blue Moon Spring Seasonal: Valencia Grove Amber Ale. A lot of hard work and preparation went into making the space blossom: a clear tent and outdoor heaters were brought in, fresh sod was laid, orange trees were sprinkled everywhere, beautiful bright flowers graced the tables, and even the smallest details – like the scent of oranges infused throughout – were not overlooked.

The centerpiece of the event was a massive orange sculpture of the Blue Moon Valencia Grove Amber bottle. This massive, 12-foot structure was made of almost a thousand oranges. One of my favorite parts was the label – it was made of many ingredients that are used to brew Valencia Grove Amber, like pale and wheat malts and Hersbrucker hops.

Blue Moon Valencia Grove Amber Ale and Paper Bird

Let’s not forget about the amazing band, local indie group, Paper Bird. They have quite the local fan base and people seemed very excited to see the performance in such an intimate space. Paper Bird’s upbeat, pleasant tunes added another great element to the party.

Not to mention, the teamwork and planning shouldn’t go unnoticed. The local market worked seamlessly with the brand, PR and production teams to manage all aspects of the Blue Moon Valencia Grove Amber launch.

Cheers to everyone involved and congrats on making the Spring Oasis event at The Sandlot one for the books!
