After a sneak peek last fall, Peroni Nastro Azzurro is introducing a new slim can just in time for summer.

The 11.2-ounce can lifts the Peroni label off the classic green bottle and sets it on an optic white background. This is the first time in the U.S. that Peroni has been served in a can.

The can made its debut last September at the House of Peroni during New York Fashion week.

The can will be available at targeted accounts in select markets in California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas and Washington, D.C.

Scott Whitley, president of the MillerCoors craft and import business development arm Tenth and Blake, shared plans for the can at a meeting with distributors in March.

He also noted that, due to the success of last year’s House of Peroni in New York, in 2017 the brand will bring the concept to New York, Los Angeles and Miami.
